Word approached us wanting a complete brand identity. We created the concept of “copy with character” and designed a flexible and daring brand around this theme. A primary logo was created using custom blackletter typography, whilst a further three variations of this logo were designed using distinct and different tones of voices to represent the wide variety of copy that Word creates for different brands.
A “highlighter” neon yellow was used across the identity to create an unexpected element that sets it apart from its competitors, whilst also hinting at the service Word offers in creating copy that really makes you pay attention.
Leeds College of Music gets a new dynamic ID from Precedent. Computational designer Karsten Schmidt was brought in to develop software which gives soundwaves a visible presence. These animate before coming together to form the spherical identity.
Mash has rebranded family barristers’ chambers 14 Greys Inn Square by renaming it Fourteen and creating an identity with a hidden ‘14’ numeral.
Mari Darlison, Mash director, says that the consultancy was appointed on the strength of a recommendation as it has worked with several barristers’ chambers.
‘Typically, within that industry barristers’ chambers name themselves after their address, so we’ve had to set about redefining them,’ says Darlison.
West Ham has commissioned a design consultancy to work on a new crest which is proposed for 2016-17 season, when the club moves to its new home at London’s Olympic Stadium.
Two months ago a West Ham advisory board began to consider a rebrand in the light of the stadium move and the fact that the crest hadn’t been updated since 1999. All other Premier League clubs have updated their crest at least once since 1997.
