One of my favorite albums/album covers, Nils Lofgren self titled. Looks a lot better (and amusing) in person with full 12" album artwork in front of you.
I tried to reply on this thread earlier, but... effing FF crashed:D Now I'm just too lazy to dig out the piccies, but I'll list the albums incase someones interested: Accept - Russian Roulette Accept - Metal Heart Rainbow - Rising (and any other works by Ken Kelly) Rainbow - Long Lice Rock and Roll (awesome drawing) Burzum - Hvis lyset tar oss Burzum - Aske

chris said...what is it about that cover makes you list it as one of your faves, chicken?
Well first of all... it's pretty. Secondly, it delivers the goods: a band called "Deathguy" from Thailand who play Death Metal, with an album titled "Concentrate the Annihilation"... the cover says it all. I love covers where you take a quick glimpse at it and you just know what it's all about. Plus kudos to the record company for not thinking about whether or not one of the severed heads could end up being a relative of a potential customer holding the album in their hand.
