I hate motherfuckers that can use a chisel that well... Bastards!.. :x I'm down to 6 chisels after selling off all my tools to feed myself after I broke my leg..

But they are all old Marples when they where made out of Sheffield Steel and not the new chromium vanadium alloyed steel. (Pure fucking Garbage!)

Marples, good gear. I've still got some Robert Sorby paring chisels, from when it was my day job. Bloody lovely.
  • Okay woodsmen/wimmin. I have a load of elderberry tree logs, can i make something useful out of it or should i just burn it?
  • Make a stack of almost ready matchsticks and put for sale on ebay at £1000.000...watch someone buy them.
  • the pith is very soft, doesn't usually have a lot of figure. as with most fruit and flower trees, there are moisture/shrinking and strength issues (except for pear, dunno why) . maybe decorative uses, maybe tube structures - pipe stem? flute? - but I wouldn't want to build with it.

Simple Table.. Top is 150 year old Sinker Cypress done with a Tung Oil finish. Bottom is is made from 200 year old Red Heart Pine (4"x4x"x12') that I pulled out of a demo job..

The wood is actually older.. I meant to say that is the age of the buildings it was demo'd from..

Grrrr.. I'm installing a Tin Ceiling. Had to float out the ceiling with 1x4's so something to nail to.. Old New Orleans ceiling..Warped and like a Roller Coaster. This shit is unforgiving.. If you are 1/16'th off on your run (I'm doing 16 foot runs) It fucks up..
I used a brad gun..You cant see the nails if you look up there.(14 foot ceiling)

After the ceiling was up..The Client brought me a box of little tiny designer nails he wanted installed in every fucking corner of every fucking piece. Which you CAN"T FUCKING SEE EITHER!! GRRR

So I'm on my back on a scaffolding putting in these useless fucking designer nails..

I dare him to ask why the cost of his ceiling just went up! I DOUBLE DARE HIM!!!

  • nice, looks like chocolate wrappers.

expensive chocolates, mind, it's ok :D
  • for what it's worth it looks amazing blues. i would've choked the shit outta him with that designer nail request tho. :D
  • Wow, yes looks great (though not something I'd have myself!)

Yes, if they do ask, bang one of those nails into somewhere soft on their body!
