    paper-related....

    My Paper Mind

An experimental animation exploring the "Stratastencil" technique that I've devised. Inspired by the Stratacut technique, Stratastencil is an additive process. Stratacut removes material to reveal another layer, while this technique adds another layer while still showing the layer before it.

a nicely done animation done with cut paper

there are 2 other short animations of process and concept at Javan's site.

The amount of time some people have on their hands never ceases to amaze me  I can't believe I'm actually considering making that thing.. haha

the ADCD (Art Directors Club of Denver) Paper Fashion Show

Teams sign up to design fashions created from paper that’s donated by our sponsors. These fashions are then showcased at our grand runway show, and voted on by our panel of judges. The fashions are then put up for auction to raise money for the charitable recipient benefiting from the event.

This is video from last year's event:

that kitty is a lot of fun, and easier to fold than it looks. :) Canon's paperfold library is a fantastic resource. one of their paper kitties was an emergency birthday gift for a visitor a while back. i also gave him a flat print so he could make his own at the end of his travels. he still has them both.
