in this horrible piece of shit software how do I turn off the god dammed paragraph leading so I can change the leading on specific lines and not the entire #$%@#! paragraph!

    HELP!

p.s. there's no way I can convert this gargantuan document to ID. believe me, I'd love to. but I don't have that kind of time today.
    TIA

would you have to use character styles instead of paragraph styles here? man, it's been "quite some time" since i've used quark ;)

OK so I converted it to ID and all is well in the world. wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be. :)

    Quck Fuark!

    i agree Quck Fuark.

none of my xtensions are compatible with the new quark.

no fitting to box, davids place... and i hate command e.

fyi - i don't know about quark 7 but in 6 you can't - paragraphs get leaded together - the only way to do it is slap a hard return on and do it by hand (or have multiple styles for different line leadings).

    sorry hj

you're damn lucky - character styles can't have leading applied, only baseline shift (the leading is coming from the paragraph)
