    i got a g5 imac so when i screen span it, it looks great. however, when my friend bought his new 15" intel pb and spanned it with his new second monitor, the second screens resolution is junk.

    anybody know anything about this? im lookign stuff up now to try to help him out. i didnt hear about this until now.

    Theres no reason why it should look bad. Is he using an adapter?

    nope, he checked around and called apple suport who basicly said they wont support any 3 party products... even if its supposed to work and the actual apple set up is at fault.

    the lcd is a vp930 view sonic so its a good lcd and the mb pro is the newest one. From what he's found out is that this is actually a common problem for the new macbook pros.

    howver i did find a solution.. thanks bff.. he jsut needs to try it out.

    Huh, okay. I use a dell 20" periodically, and it's no problem here. You aren't doing something silly like using VGA, are you?

    yeah, what was the secret solution, nc? did your 'friend' realise that he needed to wear his glasses whilst looking at the screen? :D
