I think it's because it works how ever you want it to. If you want to keep in touch with friends use it for that. if you want to market yourself/business hey it can do that too. Got an event you want to invite people to then it can do that as well.

I think that is more the appeal of Facebook, perhaps you should give it a shot

I'm with mick on the whole facebook thing...I just don't get it. I like to stay in touch with my friends the old-fashioned way. 'Course, I don't have many friends, but still..heh. Plus.. I'm trying to set some sort of example for the girls, who spend too much time online chatting to people they see at school every day -- somehow, someone always ends up a target.

I come here on a daily basis...um...I guess I'd check the Sydney Morning Herald site and boingboing.net too. Lots of places, for me, but few daily "must-visits". When I'm at work I check out failblog for a healthy dose of schadenfraude.

I stayed in touch with my friends from that time, and we all repudiate facebook together. I...could probably do with some new friends. Ha.
