    hmm photos, i have a confession to make, i wasn't in the mood for being responsible for anything so apart from taking 2-3 photos in dubai which were crap and only a few in maldives as well the camera stayed in the hotel locker! sorry guys n girls!

    But talking about dubai, hmm i could hardly recognise some parts of the place from last year. They've built new 8 lane highways, buildings, a few shopping malls, the worlds tallest building which still isn't finished, etc.... oh and they're building a new airport with 6 runways.... crazy....

    i got this in email today:

    The shit hits the tan: Dubai's beaches go down the toilet

    Dubai's once-pristine beaches might soon have a new feature: human poo. Dubai has a waste treatment plant designed to cope with a town the size of Chipping Sodbury and has been overflowing for months. It's become something of a tourist attraction to see the three-mile queue of orange faeces-laden "cess trucks" wait for their turn at the tiny desert sewage plant.

    Bored truck drivers, fed up with queuing for 16 hours a day, have taken to dumping their excrement cocktails into Dubai's storm drains, which lead directly to both public and private beaches.

    Good news all round for the hotels, fake islands etc which seem to open every day.
