    old rocker, urb.

Pink Floyd keyboardist and founder. my folks used to listen to them sometimes. ;) i can still sing a few of their songs from memory.

i'm sad for the family, as always.

    and.....?

:) it's not like they weren't influential as hell, ellpee; it's that the world moved on. i do have to say that each of the PF members individually bored the hell out of me until i heard the whole group together when they reunited for a concert this last year. it was the combo of people... Wright, Waters, Entwhistle, Mason, Gilmour .. together. none of them really had the exceptional "jam" without the others. (Syd Barrett could have).

nonetheless a talented musician has died, and i do feel for his friends and family.

    there... ;) better?

    oi.... edited to correct brainfart

mick, i think all that lp was on about was that you said your folks used to listen to them, thus making lp feel old, ya know.

    Well.. thanks... :awkward:

btw: it's not Entwhistle, he's in The Who i believe... it's Nick Mason who drums...

And really, the world has moved on? Count me out please...

i was shocked to see the massive brainfart i did. thank you for bothering to correct me.

and... The Who? ( ;) thunderfingers joke)

gee, ellpee.. we're all getting older. minute by minute. it seems like our heroes are dropping at a faster rate, too.

i'd not meant you to feel bad. it's not as if Pink Floyd were merely pop musicians like Mozart was.

don't you have nostalgia for the music your parents listened to? i do; it's just that my heroes came later after i was done borrowing theirs.

    you're the best. :)

    the :awkward: smiley fooled me.

heh...i am blessed with an overabundance of hindsight conscience. foresight would be better, but you get what you get in this life, and surf the results sometimes.

    *hug an ellpee*
