song is okay, i think they've done better, but the video is pretty amazing because it’s made entirely from embroidery and fabric, telling the story of two coconuts in love who are thrown on an epic journey across the earth.

point is, the whole thing seems TOTALLY inspired by the fantastic Meg Whitmarsh.

crochet is very effective when it comes to bread and cheese! (i'm not completely down with that pickle, though) :)

    crochet tree

knitting works better for trees, though.

    that's wonderful. :)

there doesn't look like much room to get your arm in there. it must be stretchy yarm for the neck opening. do you know if there's any more knit characters from this artist? (imageshack, so i can't figure out who made it.)

    tatted mask

this is wonderful. i've only done tatting for lacy edging on a collar, etc. it's one of the most boring lacemaking techniques there is. i'm inspired. :)

i had to find out more about the crochet lace tree. :)

it's in the Toronto area on Ward Island (part of a park). It was done roughly on-site, then disassembled, fancied up, and redone on the tree. the whole project took a few months.

i am just entranced by the contrasts.
