    i just started video taping my dad when i visit. we sit down, turn the camera on and crack a few beers and talk (more like listen). we sit back and ask him questions about growing up, meeting my mother, our grandparents. he's a great story teller. :)

    i've filled up 2 tapes so far and hope to make plenty more. i hope to do the same with my mom. then at some point i'd like to go through them and edit something together. i just wish i would have thought of it sooner.

    very nice photoessay. the photos he chose really give a sense of the person his father is.

    i like what nimmot's doing... preserving some of his parents' ways and stories. :)


    i wish this story weren't unique. i wish that anyone who wanted to could afford to cherish and protect their aged parents. i wish more people wanted to.

    Yeah, adding to my day to day shit, my Great Grandmother died from it, my Grandmother has it, and my Mom's not far behind.

    I'd like to say that I cherish them as much as this guy does, but I probably don't.
