NOT my usual ham-handed "forget it's actually a whisper" bs.

i am having a private convo.

    i posted a 2 paragraph entry.

the first line was all that shows. when i edit, all the text is in the box, but when i save the changes, it stays with only the first line appearing.

so i tried making a second entry. none of the text shows. it IS in the edit box.

so i switched browsers. same thing in Firefox and Safari.

    anyone else?

i am betting that you are trying to use a < or > symbol in your text. (or similar)

to be honest, i've done this a few times ona different forum - but that one doesn't save anything after the > which means i have to type it all out again. annoying, to say the least. especially if i have to type a "q" in the edit box - they have "quick keys" enabled, so it normally loads the userlist page when i'm trying to type shit, causing me to lose all that text again.

the trials and tribulations of a serial forum user.

i've lost a lot of fantastic comments that way. in fact, that's what happened to most of my fantastic comments. funny how that works.....

heh... i've learned. i never post anything without sticking it in the clipboard first.

it's just wrong, though to simulate an emotion with [/whoohoo

that caret just adds the right flavour, you know?
