For me, it's all done by my friends/family. The designs and the actual tattooing. It makes me happy when I feel alone, because in a way the ones I care about are there with me. It's a little story of me and mine, kind of like a scrapbook.
Idiosyncratic said... But that's why I'm getting it on the small of my back.
Tramp Stamp FTW oh god buddah .... no matter the amount of pseudo intellectual bable that comes with it or the professing of religious beliefs (looking up to an idol is religion dear) its still a tramp stamp, making it tribal is even greater comedy gold.
there's lots of ways to be excellent to each other. tat ideas can be one, i think.
i like his work, btw (he has several online "tribal" designs), but i like the Tribal Buddha Frog better, all in all.
i think the reason Buddhism comes up as not being a religion is because it wasn't designed by Gautama to be one. a basic point of Buddhism is that "this world is not created and ruled by a God". there's no almighty God, there's no one to hand out rewards or punishment. after Gautama died, the philosophy did get incorporated into cultures that already had a functioning pantheon of deities. so, you can be Buddhist, and practice the philosophy without a shred of religion, or you can be a religious Buddhist. it's all in how you roll.... as usual.
I'm more inclined to believe it was a "cool" idea with little thought formed in the mind of a child. Its not the concept I'm trolling its the person and from what I have seen of this persons beliefs ..... To be perfectly honest I would have respected her saying "I'm getting chocolate chips tattooed on my muffin top, or maybe sprinkles, tee hee" as an original well thought out idea. Hell I would have asked for pics
