Looks nice - how come they don't just roll the changes into VLC itself? It is open source, after all.

Yeah, besides the raster shift problem on the 700 and 800 mhz models, and the 1.25 ghz model leaky capacitor issue, they're actually fine.

I didn't, I just took the Resources folder from your intel package and stuck it in a PPC build. OS X application packages are such a wonderful thing ;)

VLC 0.9.2 is gaycrap. I had to go back to 0.8.6 because 0.9.2 was giving me really shitty frame rates with 720p mkv files.

Not really noticing issues with 0.9.2 myself, though it would be nice to have subtitles turned off by default (but be able to toggle them on as necessary).

I love the reworked preferences, the old ones were terrible.

VLC 0.9.3 is totally unhetrosexual. I'm still getting shitty frame rates and it keeps on crashing when it feels like it. I'm sticking to 0.8.6i Mod for a while, methinks.

i'm also halted at 0.8.6i, and see no reason to upgrade. it does what i want.

Okay, just as I was having issues with 0.9.2, they released 0.9.3. I'm getting better framerates on some 1080p videos that used to perform poorly.

Less crashing, definitely. I haven't even seen that stupid floating error box (the one that changes the focus), which is a plus.

    Here's the release notes.

but flak, the version i'm using, and the one previous (0.8.6h) has never crashed, and handles everything i've thrown at it. admittedly i'm not a power user, but VLC has been very stable for me.

VLC has crashed for me for a long time - particularly when clicking around in a movie to change position.

Still happens, but not so much anymore.

If it works for you, that's fine too. I'm upgrading my stuff just because that's what I do. :D
