    Wired said...The mixtape is gone for most intents and purposes, but the idea of assembling a few tunes for one’s friends is very much a thing of the present. Muxtape is the latest service we’ve seen that lets users assemble mixtape-like playlists online, and it might be our favorite.

    Downloading tracks from muxtapes:

    Install Greasemonkey for Firefox

    Download this script

    This allows you to download muxtape songs. Just click the "Download me!" link, change the file-name to your liking and append .mp3 to it. :wink:

    BTW, just a heads up, if you use this script, the guy that created muxtape has put in some measures to ip ban people who are using this script.

    Use at your own discretion.

    Opera => OS X HDD/User/You/Library/Caches/Opera/Cache and look for a cryptic-named .mp3 file.

    LOL

    How nice of the dude to tag and album art the files for us, eh? :D

    I already posted this method for Last.FM too. Piece of piss.

    btw 128 kbps

    i was so sad when i saw that. i truly dislike the riaa. they have a stick up their butt that's there to get out the bug that crawled up there and died. the world would be a better place without them.

    muxtape was great for the artists as it gave them exposure they would have never got otherwise. heck, i wouldn't have bought the last 4 cds i did if i didn't hear it on muxtape and in turn wanted the whole album.
