i am posting this because it looks good, and is a really really bad idea.
this is flooring. "3D" floor tiles. texture, my ass, it's torture waiting to happen.
this is the kind of floor that ends up having to be scrubbed with a toothbrush. on your knees with a toothbrush. a floor scrubber machine with bristles will not get it all.
The Vipp Minimal Shelving System is made of a 3mm aluminum plate, stamped out and shaped into a U-form creating two shelf surfaces. The shelf is mounted with an invisible bracket, providing a floating impression 8mm from the wall and fixed with CNC-cut thumbscrews in brushed stainless steel presenting a subtle detail in both the design and function of the shelf.
Kurk is a flat pack desk light that requires no screws or glues to assemble. Focusing on the life cycle of the product, each part of Kurk can be recycled or reused individually when it is no longer needed as a light. The sustainability and visual properties of cork make Kurk a unique, environmentally friendly alternative to standard desk lights. Kurk was chosen as the winning design for the 2012 BDC New Designer of the Year award. Kurk won 2nd place at the 2012 Lighting Association's Student Lighting Design Awards.

Imagine doing that in a bar instead, you'd have the pissed guys spending all evening trying to pick-up the loose change they dropped!
mind you, that just got me thinking of the floor in a bar, and i don't think i'd want to be picking anything up from it.
