    Scrabble bench!
  1.

Liam Hopkins, the founder of Lazerian, a Manchester, England based design/manufacturer, has sent us photos of the Mensa Table. The table is constructed using birch plywood modules, which were derived from the use of computer modelling. The table will be part of a collection that will include a dining table, side table and coffee table.

that'd likely generate some complex shadows, for sure. the shapes of lamp and table in close proximity might be a little too swank? heh

blues'...nice wood, fun shape. where's the bookshelf (those teeny tables don't count; not big enough for a stack of books)?
    :D
    that's a very cool snapshot.

duvet is a bedcover sack; used to keep the comforter clean. i might have said "bedspread" and been more accurate.

    microphone light
    the SOLO pendant light
is a re-mix of the classic microphone as light fixture. the mesh top emits a soft, disco-like glow. hang over a chair or table to create atmosphere, or above turntables for reading disc labels.

    extending bookcase
    „Platzhalter“

Bookshelves often seem to burst. You always try to squeeze in another book into the last gap which is far too narrow. „Platzhalter“ gives in to force and makes space for more books by literally bursting. An initially hidden board stretches between the split halves and widens the usable surface. The more books you add to the shelf, the wider it opens. The classical rectangular shape turns into a V-shaped outline until the shelf reaches itsdefined limit.
