So now that I am back again as a part-time student, I can purchase Academic versions of software.
I was looking at the Creative Suite, but I noticed there were no upgrade versions available. Only the full versions.
Does Adobe release Academic upgrades? Or do they just want you to buy the full thing again because its so cheap?
Creative Suite 3 is supposed to come out by the 3rd quarter this year?

you know you aren't allowed to use the academic versions for any work you get paid for, right?

Forgot about that...
Which is probably why if you purchased a real upgrade, you wouldn't be able to use it against the Academic serial and install.

I found this bit of info on adobe.com
"Most educational versions are not eligible for upgrade to commercial product. Only Authorware and Director offer upgrades from the previous educational version to the current commercial version, and this offer may be limited to certain regions."
