remember, you can just post links and format the comment as text - this will autolink them too. of course, if you need to use html for anything else, you can't do both.

if you are just posting links, you can either use html, or just post the url and format it as text - that will auto link it (but you can't have link text then...)

    for example -

    http://www.fazyluckers.com/discussion/118/out-of-your-window

    posted as text: http://www.fazyluckers.com/discussion/118/out-of-your-window

    <a href="http://www.fazyluckers.com/discussion/118/out-of-your-window">this is the link text</a>

posted as html: this is the link text

mick, another thing to do here is that if you see something HTML-Formatted which tickles your fancy... just quote the post ;)

well, yeah. you can also use "google" and then the googlevid_id, for google videos...

i was hoping to easily allow mov and mp3 embeds, but you can hide js in them...

well, a bit of both, technically. but i guess that the part you are interested in is not - google "thickbox" - it's a lightbox built on jquery js library.

chicken.. what a great list! i had googled, etc.. but the stuff i thought was right, came out wrong.

thanks to chris for pointing out that i was on the right track, but a combo of typoes and missing the little radio buttons below the comment window set me up for a mess. thank you, chris for cleaning up my accidents. :D
